Interact Club

Do you have a passion for helping others? If so, Yishun Innova Junior College’s Interact Club might be the CCA for you. We seek compassionate, committed team players who are eager to make a difference. Guided by our motto, ‘Service Above Self’, we plan and organise volunteer work that supports the community and fosters empathy for people from all walks of life.

Interact Club meets twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. During CCA sessions, members collaborate on various Values-In-Action (VIA) projects, either planning ongoing initiatives or proposing new ones based on community needs. These opportunities help members develop leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills while building stronger friendships. We also organise team-building games to strengthen camaraderie.

Some of our key events/initiatives include:

Dining in the Dark – A fundraising event in collaboration with the Singapore Association for the Visually Handicapped, where participants dine in darkness to better understand the challenges faced by the visually impaired.
Bring Your Own (BYO) – An initiative encouraging staff and students to bring our own food containers and utensils to reduce waste, promoting environmental sustainability in our College.
Pasar Pagi – A program where members engage with the elderly residents from Sree Narayana Mission Home, fostering cross-generational understanding and helping members better appreciate the older generation.
ND imPact – An annual National Day program for children from Life Student Care, where they learn about Singapore’s heritage through interactive activities, promoting national pride and a sense of belonging.
Partnership with Rotary Club of Singapore East – We collaborate on community service projects to expand our outreach, supporting a diverse range of groups including the underprivileged children, and the intellectually disabled.
